Crane Inspections
Crane inspections are conducted to verify compliance with the PECPR regulations, the approved code of practice, and relevant industry standards. Engaging an IANZ-accredited and WorkSafe-recognised inspection body ensures adherence to the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
IB Tasman provides inspection services for various cranes and handling equipment—including monorails, gantry, goliath, semi-goliath, jib, vehicle-mounted loader, mobile cranes, telehandlers, and reach stackers as required under the PECPR regulations.

Pressure Equipment Inspections
With more than two decades of experience, IB Tasman specialises in inspecting pressure equipment, analysing failure mechanisms, assessing safety systems, and formulating comprehensive maintenance strategies.
IB Tasman provides thorough inspection services for boilers, pressure vessels, and pressure piping, including timber treatment vessels, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

EWP - Elevated Work Platforms
Elevated Work Platforms must undergo inspections every six months, with major inspections required after ten years of service and then every five years thereafter by a competent person, in order to comply with the BPG and relevant standards.
IBT offers comprehensive commissioning, biannual, and major inspection services for all varieties of elevated work platforms.

Vehicle Hoists Inspections
IB Tasman conducts inspections of vehicle hoists to evaluate compliance and safety in accordance with AS/NZS 1418.9 standard.

Lifts and Cable car Inspections
Within the framework of New Zealand's Building Act 2004, an Independent Qualified Person (IQP) is tasked with inspecting and reporting on specified systems, such as lifts and cable cars, to ensure compliance with safety standards and adherence to the requirements of the compliance schedule.
IB Tasman conducts inspections on various types of lifts and cable cars and issues certificates of compliance (Form 12A).

Welding Inspections, Procedures (PQR & WPS) and Welder Qualifications
IB Tasman offers comprehensive and reliable support throughout the qualification process for welding procedures and personnel, ensuring professional guidance at every stage.
Personnel conduct welding inspections to ensure compliance with national and international standards and specifications.

Non-destructive testing (NDT)
IB Tasman provides the following NDT services:
- PT (Penetrant testing)
- MT (Magnetic particle testing)
- UT (Ultrasonic testing)
- ECT (Eddy current testing)
The required NDT testing for building construction will be communicated in accordance with AS/NZS 5131:2016. The applicable construction or repair code specifies the necessary NDT for other uses.
